Hollygrove Market at Loyola - Say What?
February 1st, 2010Hollygrove Market, has partnered with Dining Services and University Ministry to provide the Loyola community with fresh produce for $20.00 per box.
Today was the first day the market was on campus and it was an overwhelming success. The Hollygrove Market and Farm team is scheduled to come back every Monday (except Lundi Gras and Spring Break) 11am-2pm in the Peace Quad by Iggy.
What you can find: A great selection of fresh, local fruits: grapefruit, strawberries and a couple varieties of oranges. As well as other vegetables.

I think this is a great way to publicize a great cause on Loyola’s campus. Not only is the Hollygrove Market a great asset to a community in need, but its mission to educate people about the importance of sustainability and fresh produce is especially relevant. Plus its nice to get some seasonal variety outside of the OR! Congratulations on providing such a great venue for growing cooperatives in a city that could benefit from them!
