“There are far better things ahead than we leave behind,” –C. S. Lewis.

2016 was good to us, here at Sodexo. We successfully launched Deaux, renovated the OR like never before, and gained a new chef to call our own. But believe it or not, 2017 will be even better than 2016.

The first week of the spring semester, the Classics station became the Peak Performance station (no worries, classic are now between pizza and the deli). Peak Performance will serve a lean proton; three to four steamed, roasted, or sautéed veggies; and a whole grain. Peak Performance is locally sourced and 95% options are Mindful, which means they are great, healthy options. This concept is modeled after a training table, which are usually reserved for athletes only. However, we know that not all those who desire the options available at Peak Performance are collegiate athletes, and we hope to satisfy anyone who chooses the Peak Performance dining option.

Likewise, each station will be providing innovative dishes using ingredients not typically found in the OR. Mussels were a hit at the action station during the first week of spring. Since school has begun, the salad bar has seen golden beets, crispy tofu, and diced bell peppers. Fruit baskets now decorate the OR and provide added variety to the staple fruits.

We hope your 2016 was memorable, but we know that 2017 will be your best yet. The OR will continue to better itself as you do throughout this year. Good luck this semester, Wolfpack!
