Volunteer Opportunity!!

Catholic Charities of New Orleans is hosting a naturalization workshop on June 12 for which they need volunteer attorneys and translators. The naturalization workshop will take place at 2505 Maine Avenue in Metairie on June 12, 2015 from 9 am until 6 pm.
During the workshop, each applicant will be screened for naturalization eligibility by one of the staff BIA Accredited Representatives. Those applicants who are deemed eligible to apply for naturalization will then be sent to a volunteer station to fill out the naturalization applications. They are allocating roughly 2 hours to prepare each application. All applications filled out by volunteers will be reviewed by our staff before they are mailed to USCIS.

The following volunteers are needed:

1. Legal: Attorneys/ law students/ paralegals who can help eligible
applicants fill out the naturalization application (a.k.a. Form N-400).

2. Translators: to assist attorney/law students/ paralegals fill out N400s

3. General: volunteers to help register applicants, set up, shut down, etc.

If you are available to volunteer at any of the times below, please write your name, contact information and volunteer title (legal/ translator/general) in all of the time slots that you will be available and send the chart back to Reyna Croft rcroft@ccano.org.
