Sachs Law Group is seeking a second-year law student to fill a full-time paid law clerk position for Summer 2018, hopefully to continue as part-time for Fall 2018.

Sachs Law Group is a boutique immigration law firm that specializes in deportation defense and the criminal defense of noncitizens. Applicants must have strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and some prior immigration and/or criminal law practical or academic experience. Foreign-language fluency is a strong plus but not a prerequisite. The law clerk will work on various applications for relief from removal and affirmative applications, including cancellation and withholding of removal, asylum, U-visas, naturalization, and family-based petitions.Law clerk duties include conducting research on discrete legal issues at the nexus of criminal and immigration law, writing motions and briefs to the Immigration Court, BIA, and as part of federal litigation, as well as assisting with direct client services.
