Subject: Closure of West Road to erect Tower Crane at West Road Garage, 5:00 PM Thursday, August 12 through 3:00 PM Sunday, August 15

The following restrictions on West Road will be in place during the above time frame, as part of the West Road Garage addition project.

At approximately 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 12, a crane will be moved to the West Road at the Danna Center end of the garage. Access to the loading dock and garage from Freret Street will not be possible after this time, and the section of West Road from Freret Street to the garage will be closed.

On Friday and Saturday, August 13 and 14, tractor-trailer trucks will be bringing in tower crane sections throughout each day, and access to the loading dock and garage from Freret Street will not be possible on these days.

On Sunday, August 15, the erection of the tower crane will continue, and access from Freret Street will still not be possible until approximately 3:00 PM, when West Road will be opened to vehicular traffic.

Access to, and parking in, the West Road Garage will still be available during the above activities from the St. Charles Avenue entrance to the campus.
