The West Road Garage Addition Project has begun, and will periodically cause changes to the traffic flow into and ou tof the garage. Every effort will be made to schedule construction activities at non-peak traffic hours so as to minimize the inconvenience to the Loyola Community. Since the garage is a concrete structure, the majority of the construction activity will involve the delivery of concrete to the job site and the use of pumper trucks to pump concrete to the top of the garage. We will endeavor to notify the community via email whenever there will be an interruption to, or change in, the traffic flow (i.e. there will be times when the West Road Garage will only be accessible from either Freret Street or St. Charles Avenue).
We also plan to incrementally open parking spaces in the garage as we build up the additional two floors. This will be accomplished whenever the construction activity can be isolated from the parking spaces so that persons and vehicles are able to park safely. Be assured that safety will be of the highest priority for us in this project. Once completed, the added floors will offer a significant
improvement to the Loyola Community.
Your support during this critical endeavor will be sincerely appreciated. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation.
