This week, the university will begin work on a construction fence in the area immediately around Monroe Hall to prepare for upcoming renovation activity.

The fence, which will be constructed of solid wood by Broadmoor Construction, will not impede access to the building or affect any current entrances. It will not be enclosed at this point, but a portion will run along the curb on Loyola Street on the Miller Hall side down to Calhoun Street. A chain link fence will be installed along the ramp behind the old library. Fencing will also be constructed around trees near the building to protect them during construction.

While entrances to the building will remain the same for now, new construction entrances will be created for the renovation. These new entrances are expected to be built by Nov. 7, and more information and a map will be forthcoming.
