Hola mis amigos!! College for me is coming to a fast end and it’s extremely bittersweet. On one hand, I can’t wait to do something new rather than being in class all day, but still I don’t want to leave the “freedom” of college just yet. Even though I’m extremely busy with everything going on around me, I still have a sense of “I’m in college and while I feel bogged down I don’t think that I have as many obligations as I will in the future.” Anyway, I’m trying to enjoy myself while working extremely hard to be the best student, intern, friend, president, daughter and roommate that I can be at this point.
For those who are still newbies in the “college game” enjoy it and get as involved as possible because it really makes a difference. I know a lot of people in my graduating class (but not necessarily at Loyola) who are ready to escape the never-ending cycle of class, work and home because they’re not that involved. If this is you, JOIN AN ORGANIZATION ASAP!! And if Loyola doesn’t have the one that you’re looking for, start it!! It’s possible!! Hopefully I’ll see you around campus getting involved, and if I see fliers for a new organization on campus, I’ll be sure to come to your first meeting and see what it’s all about.
